ACADEMIA

Academia is part of the practice.

Teaching and academic work are an extension of Andreas Vierziger’s practice across music, curation and strategy. His work ranges from university teaching, lectures and workshops to mentoring and consulting on curricula and professional development programmes.

Areas of interest include curatorial practice, artistic positioning, music management, social impact and responsibility through arts and culture, new concert formats and the relationships between music and other disciplines.

LECTURING

Andreas has held lecturing positions at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and Mozarteum University Salzburg and has been invited for lectures, seminars and workshops by more than 40 universities, music academies and cultural institutions internationally.

His teaching connects theoretical questions with artistic and institutional practice, drawing on projects, programmes and professional experience across the cultural field.

CURRICULA + PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT

Developing structures for artistic and professional learning.

Andreas advises institutions on curricula, courses and professional development programmes, considering both their content and structure and how they respond to the changing professional realities of musicians and cultural practitioners.

This has included consulting on curriculum development at various universities and work on the Career Advancement Programme of the Günther Caspar Foundation.
